This website is owned and operated by the Pasadena High School Class of 1973, a social organization comprising various members of that class and related individuals. (“PHS1973”,“we” or “us”).

PHS1973 respects the privacy of all visitors to our website, along with donors, volunteers, and any other person affiliated with our organization.

Except as stated in this privacy policy, we do not rent, sell, share, or trade any member,  donor, volunteer, or website visitors’ name or personal information with any other entity. This policy applies to all personal information you provide to PHS1973, both online and offline, as well as any electronic, written, or oral communications. You always have the right to opt out of communications from us by contacting our administrators at the contacts below. We value your trust and are committed to honoring your preferences.

This privacy policy discloses how we collect and use the information of all visitors to our website, along with members, donors, volunteers, and any other person affiliated with our organization. By visiting the PHS1973 website, you accept the practices described in this policy.

What Data we Collect

Sign-Up Forms

PHS1973 collects contact information including name, email, phone, address, and involvement preferences on various sign-up or other forms throughout our website. This information is voluntarily given by you and is used to help you get involved with PHS1973, help you remain updated about PHS1973 and its events, for fundraising, and to contact you in response to questions or issues. At any time, you can opt out of receiving future communications from PHS1973 by contacting our administrators or adjusting your email preferences. PHS1973 does not knowingly collect personal identifiable information from individuals under the age of 21.

Payment Information

Financial information is collected if you make an online donation or an online purchase,  but is not stored by PHS1973. When placing a payment online, you will be re-directed to an external vendor that receives your payment information and processes the donation. The vendor stores financial information you provide to it according to its privacy policies. PHS1973 only receives and maintains a payor’s contact information, including name, email, phone, and address. PHS1973 does not receive or maintain your financial information through online payments. Contact information collected by PHS1973 during the online donation process is stored within its registration database. Access to the database is restricted to administrators with a legitimate business need to access or modify the information contained therein.

Google

PHS1973 uses Google services, such as Google Analytics, that place first-party and/or third-party cookies on a browser across our website. To opt out of Google tracking, please visit Google’s opt-out page. We also use Google AdWords “remarketing” to market our site across the web. We place a cookie on a browser, and then Google reads these cookies and may serve an ad on a third party site. You may opt out of this ad serving on Google’s opt out page.

 

Social Media Sites

When you interact with any PHS1973 property page or account on a social media platform, such as Facebook or Instagram, we may collect the personal information that you make available on that page or account, including your account ID or “handle.” However, we comply with the privacy policies of the corresponding social media platform and only collect and store such personal information that we are permitted to collect by these social media platforms.

Cookies

Like most websites, PHS1973’s web servers utilize “cookies” to track a user’s activity within our site, as well as record the IP address of each visitor to this site. PHS1973 may use contact information and payment history information to  communicate with you regarding news, events or fundraising campaigns, or coordinate volunteer activities. However, these companies are precluded from further disclosing the information to any other party, and they may not use such information for any other purpose.
